I would seriously consider the X1 from MTI. I currently have the TR224/ 114 and am growing tired of it. It was a MAJOR improvement over stock, but I need something a little beefier. The 224 is great on the street, with almost no surging, and idle is as smooth as silk at 800 rpm. You may like it better since you have stage 2 heads, while I'm still on the stock heads. IMO I would start big, and if it's too much, you can sell it easy and try something smaller. BTW The X1 is my next cam, thanks to BEARD

if you have headers, you probably don't need a split. A 224/224 114 will work well and has pretty good drivability.

m.t.i has great products. i would go with the c1 222/222 566/566 112 hammer cam,or the c2 224/224 581/581 112 hammer cam #2, if you have good valve springs for the hammer #2.i have the hammer #1,it has great street drivability, idles great at 850rpm's, pulls smooth and hard to 6,600 rpms.my car is a m6. with this cam,st2heads,MOST of the boltons,12bolt-w/3.73's,stock ws.6 weight and suspenchion, i went 11.71 at 118.6 on nittos(spinning 1/4th of first)424.1 hp& 407 tq. ALSO....look on raughammer's web site,it has a lot of info on tons of cams. GOODLUCK TO YA, MIKE C.

you should really pick a cam depending on your head, flow numbers to choose the most optimal setup.

I think that the 224/224 114 LSA is the best all-around camshaft for street/strip use and street drivability. We have this cam on special, on XE and XE-R lobes, for the month of December. I ran a best of 11.63 @ 114 MPH with a 1.588 60' time with my old 224/224, .581"/.581", 112 LSA. If you are wanting more power over the 224/224, then our reverse-split 228/224 or TSP 228R would be an excellent choice. I'm currently running the 228R in my SS, and my current best ET is in my sig. I am looking for some 11.20's before I swap to a set of ported heads.

You can check out our cam sale HERE. Let me know if you have any questions!

Trevor
