Default macewen gauges + red LED's

SEARCH MESSED UP SORRY I KNOW THIS SUBJECT HAS BEEN ANSWERED BEFORE.

i bought my macewen gauges... waiting on my bezel to come in and was thinking to myself... "this is a good time to change my LED colors." But... since the search is jacked up again i could not look up anything. my question is this... i want to do all red... in the HVAC, gauges, headlight switch and everything. how many bulbs do i need for the HVAC controls, headlight switch, and gauges and what exact bulbs should i get? also... i have heard that when i put this overlay on i need to peel off something so the lights will illuminate bright instead of really dull... what exactly is this that i peel off and where is it? thanks!

I assume you are going to change the bulbs out to LED's. The gauges require (5) 194 size bulbs, the HVAC and doors require (2) 74 size bulbs, the automatic shifter requires (1) 74 bulb, the headlight switch is optional. I have seen someone use (2) LED's. I have only one LED which is plenty bright. You have to solder the LED onto the existing bulb if the headlight switch. The attached link is very helpful.

You only have to solder the headlamp switch. All of the rest are plug and play.
