42# injectors with the stock tune? It idles?

Only way I could get any idle out of mine after the install was with the PCV removed.

I was suprised mine idled at all when I started it. Granted it took it about a week to find its place but this cam has turned out to be A LOT more friendly than I thought it would be.

He must already be tuned for the 42's, if he wasnt the plugs would foul within a minute or two and it would be backfiring.

Yea it was tuned for the injectors before the install. Previous owner had them put in.

haha yeah i made the mistake of adding the 42# injectors on stock tune...OOPS..

put it this way...it ran richer than a pig for 5 minutes and dies, never to start again...

I have to replace all the plugs (which look like they had been dipped in oil) and got it tuned....car started right up...NICEE

a few questions.

1:i plan on getting a ms4 soon. there are no P/V problems is there?
2:i have a stock (best i know anyways) 2002 ls1 with LT's, 3" to 3.5" exhaust. will this be a good cam? futrue mods will be N2O with some under drive pulleys
3:on texas speed site they list (as needed) a "PRC dual valve spring kit required" what is that?
4:never2slow, do know how much power with your mods, after cam your putting down? my set-up will be almost the same (bigger exhaust and under drive pulleys).
im @ 341 rwhp with LT's, exhaust and tune. aiming for 430 on motor.
5: whats some good valve springs and push rods to go with this cam?

thanks

1. It clears, but not with a safe margin. I would flycut.
2. Good cam for what? What do you use the car for? What are your goals? How street friendly do you want it to be?
3. Dual springs are juts that, dual valve springs. They are very strong springs that accomodate a cam like that with high durations and high lift.
5. Springs were already mentioned, measure with a pushrod checker for the size you need.

1: this might not be the cam for me then. dont wanna flycut.
2: the car is a street car. 1995 240sx. my end goal is a car you can daily drive and run high to mid 10's with good tires. aiming for 550 rwhp (around that with spray) @ 2600 lbs. hopefully those goals will get me close to my ET goals. but dont wanna get into a full engine build. internal changes will be arp rod bolts.
bottom line: i want the car to haul *** and be able to be daily driven.

Actually my car is pretty street friendly and i still get about 20 mpg, andthe power is awsome. Lets put it this way... the old lady is able to drive it around town still untuned.

1 It's close but many others have had no problems. I will be flycutting.
2 This will be a great cam for your setup!
3 PRC dual valve springs are a nice set of micronited springs that can handle the cam. Stock sprigs would rip apart
4 Depends
5 Just spend the money on the cam package on TSP's site. It comes with the correct 7.40 chromoly hardened PR and the PRC dual springs and new seals/retainers/seats. Reasonably priced to.
