Default TR 224, 112 or 114 lsa

Well guys, I've decided on the Tr224 cam but dont know which lsa to get.

I've heard both on Ls1sounds.com but they sound a little identical to me. Which one should I get?

My car is a DD, M6, Rearend and 4.10s coming soon.

I would go with the 112 if your just going to be running NA. Plus it sounds a lil' better. Let's people know that you have a cam.

112LSA all the way. With a good tune it drives damn near like stock with ALOT more power. The 112+4 will produce a good DCR and powerband with a stock head setup.

Here's my 112 LSA - TR 224 112 LSA

Sounds a lot better in person, never sounds the same on a camera.

You car definitely seems to have power and it sounds really nice.

I'm curious on this question too. I really don't want that much lope in the cam and I want something that's pretty close to stock but allows for a little more power.

I would go 112 unless you need to have a sniffer test for emissions. 224 114 passes I'm not sure a 112 would.

If you want lope and don't have to worry about emissions get the 112!

I have the 224/224 114lsa cam and its pretty civilizied...

Hell it could come from the factory this way...

I'm not racing the car...I'm just using it for daily driving fun and in hindsight I'd have to suggest a 224/228 114lsa cam at the very least.

I did 224/224 114lsa because I wanted at the time to pass tailpipe emissions that were run in the state..(now pcm plug in)

The lope you hear in the video is exaggerated by the LT's ORY and Loudmouth setup. Sounds like the stock idle rpm. Thru a setup with a muffler a 112LSA is not lopey at all. You can also adjust the idle higher to dampen the lope. I have mine set at 900 rpms AC off, 950 AC on and it purrs. It would take a trained ear to know there's a cam in the car.

A narrower LSA will have slightly better torque, wider LSA will have slightly more top-end power. If your using a big cam with a lot of duration a narrower LSA will have slightly less piston-to-valve clearance and a wider LSA will have slightly better piston-to-valve clearance.

That's true but I plan on running LT's and the Corsa muffler is essentially a pass through. I think your setup is awesome and wicked . It's just not what I'm looking for.

I want a car that really sounds and behaves stock. If I could open up anywhere in the 40+ rwhp w/ LT's and Cam-only then I'd be happy.

To give you an idea...I'm even thinking about the TR "Old Man" Cam 214/220 .600/.523 115 LSA

Thats the same cam I was looking at for the longest, mostly cuz I was going after the same setup for my car. But after going over there every now and then and watching Dyno tunes & timeslips I've decided on the TR224. The TR220 did very well also, With a good tune it was putting down right at 380hp to the wheels.
