Default Alky Control Kit Install ?'s

We are installing my Alky Control kit right now. Does anyone have some pics (on a camaro) where they mounted the pump? Also where they mounted the control box inside the car?

Thanks. Just want to find the best location.

I run a snow kit but its basically the same type of stuff i assume. I found with the super cramped engine bay, a good place to mount the pump was to cut out a section of the bumper foam and mount it to the bumper support. I also mounted the controller right on top of one of my fuse boxes. Hope this helps!

I had to mount mine on the front bumper as well. There was NO room in my engine bay on the frame rails.

Heres a link to my build. About half way down I start doing the alkycontrol kit.

Heres a few pics from my install:

Go to that above thread of my build for some detailed descriptions of the pictures...

My pump is mounted inside the bumper, just in front of the resevoir. My control boxes are all inside the car. The MAP sensor is to the left of the center console inside the dash directly above the ALDL port. The PAC controller is in the center console, under the dash up front, just wedged in there so its easily accessible. The control box with the gain **** and test button are in the center console next to the cig lighter... I pulled my old TCS switch panel, and put in its place one of the GM 'pockets'. I cut the back off for wire passage, and wrapped the box in rubber weather strip to make it fit the pocket snugly. Looks almost built-in that way.

I mounted mine where the battery normally goes. It's generally better to mount the pump lower than the tank but the pump has a check valve and holds it's prime well. Before use, I just hit the test button to make sure the meth is flowing. But If I had the front off the car I'd probably mount the pump low on the front frame as chevychad did above and use the winshield washer tank as the resevoir

I actually was going to put mine how SSmokin 01 has his setup, but my cruise control was already there and I couldn't find another spot for the cruise control. That was going to be my alternative, but I really wanted to keep the cruise...

guess you'd be correct sir. I'll have to look over them when I get home. Im the knuckle head thats doin the install for dennis.

blownTA, thats where I thought of putting it orig., and even mounted it there. but I was worried about cooling issues blockin the path for airflow to the rad. you daily drive your car? and if so does it stay cool in the summer months?

looks like its either the way blownTA has it, or remove the fascia to mount it to the front side of the bumper.

then what do you have for the rad. overflow tank then? thanks.

update: I just got off the phone with julio and he says its fine as it is. the only reason for suggesting mounting vertically is in the case of the pump leaking internally, it will leak onto the ground instead of into the elec. side of the pump. but he stressed that it "SHOULD" be mounted below the tank so it gravity feeds. which Im already covered there.
also, there are no pics of install's in his directions, cause noones ever sent him any pics of 4gens installs, and he's never done one on a 4gen himself yet. so if you guys got pics, send them to him. Im sure he'll pic the best quality pics to demonstrate where/how to mount things and include them in the installation instructions that he sends out.
very nice guy too. so help a brother out and send along any pics you got to julio at the website for alky control. (spelling?)
