Default Getting a new motor!!!!!!!!

Cartek's gonna build me a new stroker.
N/A 441ci hydrolic roller.
Goal is to be consistently in the mid to high 9's and be street driven.

I can't wait!!

sounds badass... being at the low 10's with an iron 408, the added power from a 441 and the reduced weight of the alum block (I assume) should get ya there no problem!

What prompted the new build?

Well, when I bought the 408 it was with the intention of running 9's on spray, I even had my roll bar upgraded to a 10pt. cage, but after an expensive break on the first nitrous pass at Atco I decided to go N/A. So now with the bigger motor I could have my original plan of running 9's with an N/A set up which it turns out I prefer. I won't run the low 9's that I would've with the 408 and the fogger but it'll be good for me and my budget.
Nothing wrong with the 408, I'm very happy happy with the #'s it's been running, I just want a little more.

sounds good. figuring on the new motor being about 50 lbs lighter with an alum block...it's not gonna have to make a ton more power to get ya there. A more n/a converter would probably do alot for the cause too.

Daum, I don't beleive it.....someone actually wants to run a Naturally Aspirated set-up ! Seems everyone whats to spray or put a big blow dryer on there set-ups anymore.
If your car is set-up properly I would think some high 8's would be in order with those cubic inches

Thanks guys. I am selling my motor but not until the new one is ready to go in.
A member here is interested and we've discussed price but I'm gonna wait until a descision is made from that member before I post it up.

High 8's would be AWESOME!!!!!! Maybe on a track only car with really high compression and a solid roller but this is going to be a street driven car with a hydrolic roller and 4:10's. For me the mid to high 9's consistently is what I'm expecting and anything faster than that is a bonus.
BTW, that's a damn nice 60' in your sig.

Thanks George! Yeah it's an 8" converter so it'll be perfect for the new motor.
Might even see a 1.2? 60' with the bigger motor.
