the sensor will be maxed out and the computer wont know how much boost its getting. Its kind of like having a MAF car with the MAF maxed out. You can trick it into fueling with the VE, but it can be a gamble.

p.s. a three bar sensor is good up to 28lbs

so i can keep it fat at the end of the table and the computer will go with the last VE settings? and as long as the car doesn't lean out under a few more psi it "should" be ok?

With the pt88 i ran it as hard as i could and it would hit 23-25 psi and was done after that. But with the t91 I will be surpassing that, and i forgot about the limits of the older f.a.s.t. units and I really don't want to buy a new system this year.

Get the updated firmware and it will be good to 5 bar. A number of companies make a 5 bar sensor. My 1.02 version has it .My unit is 10 years old.

They have a 3.5 bar sensor too. Probably more use for those that a 3 bar is barely not enough for, without losing too much resolution.
