http://www.schimmelperformance.com/O...jector90lb.htm

Trading email with the owner since Stevieturbo posted this in the Vetteforum. Schimmel claims 1.2ms down low. Designed for turbo VW's and Porshe's. Basically a bored out Delphi Bosch Injector.

I wonder how consistent they are.

A 90lb/min high imp injector would be killer.

Thoughts?

Box and 83's, or 96's depending on power. Don't bother with high Z injectors above 60.

Some joker sold me a turbo kit that has my Mototron 60's at +80% duty at 6400rpm at 12psi of boost at a steady 84psi fuel pressure.....

Not out....but it's waving adios.......

I'll take them to 100% and see where the boost tops out.

Inj duty cycles can be deceiving. Just because an injector is at 100% doesn't mean it is done. Some injectors can work effectively at up to 150% dc. How well they can maintain a desired air/fuel ratio is what should ultimately determine if you are out of injector.

If you can still command an AF ratio of 11:1 and it holds across your rpm range then they should still be ok...

As I said. A friend in Malta has used the 90lb Schimmel injectors on a couple of 4 cylinder turbo cars with great results. He reccomended them to me after he threw some money away on some Venom pieces of ****.

Ive also used some modified side feed high impedance 1000cc injectors on a 2.35 litre Subaru, and they performed superbly.

Not all injectors are the same, although in an ideal world, yes, Low Z's would be preferred at that sort of level.

I was told Big Stuff 3 can control up to 16 injectors... and from what it looks like I don't think LPE would skimp on tuning capabilities for a car like that.

I purchased a set from Venom back in the winter and they were junk. I had them flow tested and saw 30% variation from lowest to highest injector flow. I couldn't believe they were that bad. Venom gave me a full refund and stated that they were no longer offering high imp injectors that large. I've now got low imp 96s and a versafueler installed.
