Default Great weekend @ Atco for NOPI

Went out this weekend to test the car after being apart for 6 months from being painted.Went to Atco to test and decided to do it during the NOPI Nationals.I left for Atco Friday morning hoping to make some test hits and make my moderate licence passes.NO GOOD damn rain!
Saturday morning woke up and teched the car and entered the Unlimited Street class. These cars run anywhere from 8.5 to 10.5 on radials under 360 c.i. .I knew I didn't have a shot but was the only class I fit in.
They had a test session in the morning so I figured I would run the car on motor and make sure the brakes were good since I added a k member and new brakes lines and manual rack.
I ran 14 psi in the tires and the result was:11.19@122.17(nitrous tune 25 degrees)
The car left soft due to the 2 step being @ 4500 for the bottle, but the car stopped really well and went straight so it was time to open the bottle.
First round of qualifying and I didn't change anything but open the bottle and heat it to 950 psi.

60'-1.425
330-4.017
1/8-6.206
mph-111.59
1000-8.116
1/4-9.752
mph-137.68
The car left staright and pretty hard, but I knew it wanted more bottle pressure by looking at the plugs when I got back.
So on my next pass I heated the bottle to 1000 psi and resulted in:
60'-1.386
330-3.929
1/8-6.103
mph-112.29
1000-8.007
1/4-9.639
mph-137.89
That time the car really responded and hit the tire hard and was still a little fat. This would be my 3rd and final qualifier.I heated the bottle this time to 1050psi ,same 14 psi in the goodyears and 2 step at 4500.
60'-1.386
330-3.912
1/8-6.072
mph-113.01
1000-7.968
1/4-9.592
mph-138.71
Looks like the car likes the high bottle pressure or maybe I will go down on the fuel jet.
So I ended up Qualifying 7th out of 11 cars and of course I had to race the number 2 guy first round and he already went 8.78 @ 16X so I didn't have a chance, but still gave it hell.I ended up going 9.61@137.81 to his 9.001 due to the bottle dropping to 1000 psi in the lanes, but I got my bet 60' of the day on the radials.1.367.
All in all it was a great weekend and I had a blast.
Next time out Pinks all out june 9th

Those new tires really stick, looks like they are a good alternative to what else is out there. Great #'s I suspect I'll be improving soon with 4.11 gears due a Tru Trac Failure

Good runs man, glad to hear it went well. Tires are working pretty good, mine shou0dl be here this week, just have to get them mounted up and screwed, and take care of the last few things on the car. I signed up for the 25th too so it should be a good learning day... I just hope I can get the swaybar on before then so the cars will be setup similar suspension wise.

That makes 2 of us, I just want to get my car to leave good, I know what it will do on the 2nd half of the track.. it's what happens in the first 330 that I need to work on.

After the pinks shoot... the kit's going on, and we'll see what this motor can do with some of what it was meant to get
