Default using a v6 trans with an ls1

can a 4L60e from a V6 (3.8L) application be adapted for use with an LS1? i am curious if i can replace the bellhousing to match the bolt holes of the LS1 and also if the internals of a 4L60e (out of a V6 3.8L) are built to handle/operate properly behind an ls1.

thanks!

no, the input shaft splines are a different count and would require a different converter. not worth the hassle. just find the right trans from a junkyard or something.

As he said the input shaft is different but also the stator is different for the pump. Though it could be modified to do it I am not sure it would be worth the effort unless the trans was incredibly cheap price wise
