Default 4l60e 1-2 shift problem help!!

well i took my 1995 camro to the track and it wont come out of first gear unless i let off the gas before it shifts, then once i let out of the gas and hit it again it goes and to 3rd, then on the return lane it will have no 1st, but if i shut the car off and let it sit it will work fine until i hammer on it, this problem has been going on for 3 week and i cant find anything wrong in the trans i took it out 2 times for this problem and ever thing looks good. and pressures up good, also it will only actup at the track when i put my slicks on, but sometimes it shifts at the track and runs out good, but if i run the n20 it will never come out of 1st unless i let off,??

Hi you need to look at the data stream with a scanner and see whats being comanded when this happens, It very well could be a tuning issue or malfunctioning sensor

With the nitrous your converter is flashing differently and this could be throwing your computer off. Also you said that you are running slicks when this occurs. Are the slicks the exact same size as your street tires. This might be slightly changing you rear end ratio and the computer is seeing it as a ratio error. Sounds like you might have some tuning to look at. Vince

slicks and street tires both same size, and with the slicks on the street if shifts fine just on a died hook at the track wont shift. on 1.7-1.6 60s,

I dont see air pressure doing it my shift point is 6300 and rev 7000, so theres some room for tire pressure changes, from what im being told it seems to be stall wall, i just got to get it fixed in the tune, hopefully with out doing a obd2 converion.
