Default lid question

Ok i bought a lid yesterday from a guy local, Had my friend pick it up for me since he lived closer to the guy well the lid is for a 2000-2002 with the hole for the AIR sensor, is this lid still ok if i can plug the hole? where can i get a plug?

The lid will work just fine. Just make sure that hole is plugged. No one that i know of actually sells a plug. You are going to just have to find something to make do.

Should be able to get an expansion plug from some place like auto zone - you want an airtight seal. If you still have AIR pick up a small breather filter for the end of the hose and zip tie it out of the way.

Just to be sure...you're not talking about the IAT sensor...the sensor and grommet get transferred to the new lid.

would a 99 Z lid fit a 98 Z, found a guy that has a brand new one for same price i paid for this used one thats rough

any lid should fit with the exception of some having and some not having the AIR hole

I went to True Value and searched in the marine plug drawer until I found the one that fit in my lid. I'll check in the morning exactly what size it was if it says it on there. I think it was like $2 or something. Plugged it up tight.
