Textralia Exo-Skel Triple Pics...
After being dissatisfied with the exo-skel twin in my C6, Textralia got in touch with me to try out one of their new all carbon triple disc clutches. The clutch is supposed to be near 100% streetable.
I loved everything about the twin except that I felt that it chattered excessively when starting from a stop. This abates for many people...but I put over 1400 miles on the clutch and it was not improving.
I'm very impressed with Textralia's level of customer commitment and the fact that they got in touch with me in an effort to correct the problem. Both Peter and Jarrod have been great to work with.
Here are a few shots of the new clutch!

I'll post some follow-up as soon as I get to drive the car, hopefully next week sometime.

You can see the steel floater plates. So its definitely carbon/steel. This is similar to the Exedy carbon/steel design.
A true carbon/carbon uses not only carbon disks but also carbon floater plates. Something like this:
A carbon/steel clutch is not a bad idea. It can work well. What tends to happen however is that the steel floaters can't take the heat as much as the carbon disks, so if you overheat it, the floaters can warp.
