on the dyno .68 to .96ar swap
in case you dont know this is a mp70 turbo, stock 5.3 with springs, unlocked turbo 400 and a loose converter.
run 5 is with the .68ar and run 7 is with the .96 ar. my turbo guy told me not too expect too much because even with the .96 ar it is still a ptrim wheel and probably too restrictive for a v8. this graph is in mph because it is much easier to read. this is also leting off at only 5800rpm. a few runs later we had it tuned to 6100 rpm and it still pulls prety strong up there. it would have been nice to run the .68ar up higher in the rpms. i bet the diference is even more drastic as the rpms go up.
you can see where it spooled a little slower with the .96. the back presure was down an average of 4psi or so. the boost actualy went down a little. the power was similur in the lower rpms and had a nice gain up top. prety much everything you would expect.
after this set of runs we let it rev higher and dialed in the fuel a little better. then uped the boost a couple more psi

yeah, i was hoping for a little more.

I'd blow 18psi through my stock motor with no timing as long as I could get numbers like that and not scatter a daily driver stock motor. Parish, Slowhawk, and others are (better term... "have been for awhile") pushing the stock motor with high boost, I assume, with little timing. KILLER hp/torque curves, eh?
Next we'll be taliking about tuning on 87 Octane... can't wait... thats about all I can afford

118 octane and only 16deg of timing. we tried more timing but didn't gain much hp so we kept it moderate. the 118 is probably over kill but we had some laying around.
here is the final dyno run from that day. making these numbers on the dyno is one thing. we will see if it can do it at the track and still hold up. i think it will be ok at this level but it has to let go at some point and you know we wont stop turning it up till it lets go.

HOLY **** ..........so what do you think a stock 5.3 with a comp 212/218 and .522/.529 lift on 114 LSA
some arp rod bolts a car intake with 60 lb injectors and a t76 q trim turbo wiht a .84 housing would do for numbers? still going through a th400 but with a slightly smaller 3600 converter
