Default Won't go into 3rd at high RPM?

Took my car to the track and shifted 1-2 fine. Went to go into 3rd and would not go. Tried 4th same thing. Car is fine on the road, just not at 6500RPM at the track. Tried 2 passes and the same thing both times. Still beat my friend's new 07 GT. 2nd and coast to the traps.

My car does almost the same thing, but the when i launch the clutch goes half way to the floor and stays there. The 1-2 shift is fine, just slightly delayed but the 2-3 is very slow and hard to get into gear. My slave was replaced when i replaced my clutch about 3k miles ago. Does anyone think the drill mod/master cylinder replacement will fix this problem?

I think it's the tranny. Should have had Don rebuild it while it was out for the clutch.

What did you run? I ran a 13.2 @ 80 putting it in neutral after 2nd. Still beat the GT I was racing.

I had the problem of 3rd especially at high rpm .I tried like five different shifters, different tranny fluid and finally the drill mod. The drill mod works. Pain in the butt but do it. Its a lot easier when master is out of the car.
Just do it.

Could be burnt hydrolic fluid but it sounds like a bent/broken 3rd/4th clutch fork.I can do those in my sleep.

UMI short stick on a Hurst shifter. Never had this problem before. 100 or so passes on the car. Only 3 last year & 2 this year. Looks like I'm done for the year now.

We had a same prob a while back it ended up being the springs on the clutch, and would not let the clutch fully engage. But like mentioned above id check the forks.
