Default Anybody have these headers???

Anyone use SSAutochrome headers?

I emailed the company and they say the 02 bungs are where they should be at, no fitment issues. Have any of you guys had any experience with these headers and ORXP???? Thanks. Just trying to gauge wether or not it would even be worth buying, or would I be the guinea pig. Thanks

There is no way I would put those on my car. Spend the extra money and get a good set.

Do a search on corvetteforum, about a year ago there was a huge thread on them. The consensus was that they're not bad for the $$ but DO require some modifications. If you're the type that can do the work yourself they're a bargain. If you're like a ton of vette owners out there and that pay for work to be done they're not cost effective.

They have since been redesigned, and now fit with zero problems, and make = power to kooks, why pay stupid corvette tax on headers when you dont have to?

dont even compare them to kooks!! they are not even close quality wise!! and will not last half as long as a stainless header

they are stainless and I have a set on my car. the fit wasnt that great until i modified a few things. im replacing them with american racing because now that I have heads/cam i think im leaving a little bit of power on the table with these. time will tell i guess.

They make a lot of turbo kits for imports and I've personally seen wastegates fall off of their manifolds while on the dyno and the manifold itself break at the welds after getting hot.

With this company, you definitely get what you pay for. Buy cheap, buy twice.

I got banned for a week voicing my opinion about this company so I will not go into detail, however I have 2 sets of these. One on my C5 that was HEAVILY modified and a set for my expedition that would not even clear the castings on the heads . These are garbage

Well let us know for sure, with some pictures

btw they just raised the price. Looked on there today, from $320 to $475. Although the f-body headers stayed the same price, figures.

The headers and x-pipe set that I was looking at cost $550, are we looking at the same set. And after hearing all the stories Iam not sure if I want to waste my hard earn money. We will see in about two weeks I want I do. If I go that route I will tell you guys all the details.

If you want better headers and don't have the cash, look for used ones. I got very very lucky, and basically stole my LG's on ebay. They were listed wrong, and one of the AIR tubes was broken. Plus they were listed wrong, ended up getting my LG Pro's with MM HighFLow cats for $790 shipped.

I dont have a vett, but put them on my Z. They are GREAT!!! Made of very good stainless, great welds and perfect fit. I did however make my own catted Y pipe. You will not get any more hp from spending 3X as much on a big named brand. If you read the reviews on all headers out there, almost every header has went on flawless for some but other have problems with them. "Kooks" too.

I say get them and have the xtra cash for another mod!!

That would be a big no there. It has been proven on a dyno, better headers make more power.

Cheap Headers Design.

Highend Headers Design.

Can you guess what header makes more power then the other?? Maybe it's the one that all Corvette's in Speed World Challenge use????

Jargan do you have links to any test results? I would not mind seeing them. I wont argue that a 2-3hp might exist, but dont think that the bottom pic will be putting out any great amount compaired to the top pic. Not worth it for the $600+ difference. This is just my opinion though, I would not mind seeing facts. (and not by the company that made them)
