Anyone tuned their fuel level gauge?
I am wondering if anyone has a set of tables that they developed through logging fuel level? Ive seen a few posts in the hp tuners forum and i copied one of those setups. It seemed to work well for the full (went to full when filled isntead of way after) and moved more linearly than parabolically (V shaped tank). But when my low fuel check gauge light comes on there is 3 gallons left. So i used the stock values for the lower point and his values for upper and blended them. I will see how it goes, just wondering if anyone has a finished setup I can compare to. It confuses the hell outta me since there is 2 tables that affect it.

Do we have a fuel light on these cars? I dind't even know there was one. Mines a 2000 T/A, should it be on there?
I too was thinking of making this guage more linear, it seems to take a while to get to half way, then when elow half way its not long before its 1/4 tank. I usually fill up around 1/4 tank, as have a high flow fuel pump which needs fiuel to cool it. But before I had that fitted i did run the fuel quite low but never saw a light.

WS6FirebirdTA00 did, what he did was drive till the tank was at 1/4 down from FULL, then filled up , which should be 4 gallons. and each of the 1/4 marks should be 4 gallons, 4 of em , 16 gallons
he did that until when he filled up it was exactly 4 gallon fill up
he did that until when he filled up it was exactly 4 gallon fill up

Would you please point to the tables in question? Thank you. Just interested. If anything I really wish it was possible to make the PCM poll the fuel level a lot faster but I believe that is in the coding...
Tables in question are:
Gauge output and Primary Volume. Under Fuel System -> general in hptuners

I mean the values in the table that you put in.
When I fill my tank it takes approximately 10 minutes for the needle to move from E to F unless I stop the motor and restart.
The wiring is correct. I have followed the wires from the PCM to the right pass side of the car by the kick panel to the bulkhead. Found nothing wrong.

Yes. It is a common practice in fact. I have been doing this for years and years with EFI and non EFI GM cars. No accidents have EVER occured.
There is no open spark. No pilot. No open flame. Gas can only combust when it is under certain circumstances.
I dare to say I could throw a match into a pool of gasoline and if the conditions are right it won't ignite but extingush the match.
You need a gas VAPOR of a certain concentration before it will ignite. Fumes from a gas pump nozzle are so diffused by the time they even get near your coil packs the concentration is WAY to low. The gasoline isn't an atomized mist under COMPRESSION which is just perfect for harnessing combustion. Even though my cellphone has about 7 radios in it that won't even make a gas station go bye bye.
Maybe if I was driving an ext. combustion engine I would put out the boiler before I coasted in on redisual steam power Don't want to blow up serveral miles of fertile heartland because I was in a rush to get my coke!
I find your resonse to parellel this situation:
Customer complains his brakes don't work.
Service Manager says don't drive so fast.
