Default Shift light installation

It has red/black/green wires. Red is suppost to go to a 12V ignition switch. Where do I hook up the red wire too, like where on the car. Black goes to a good ground. And Green goes to either negative coil on ignition or to the tach terminal, which I assume is on the PCM. Can someone help me with the red and green wires? Thanks.

(It's for a Raptor shift light but they all work basically the same.)

Make sure you set it on 4 cylinder mode.

Why would I set it to 4 cylinder mode?

Well...if you read the post that I linked to...
Because the LS1 PCM generates a two-pulse-per-revolution Engine Speed signal, the Raptor configuration switch needs to be set to four cylinder mode.
