Default Please share you Turbo info with me

I'm convinced a single turbo is the way to go for myself. I have a TR 224/563 112lsa cam, & 255lph Racetronix pump kit.

I will be inheriting a Garett 76mm small frame sleve bearing turbo from my friend.

I also plan on using some Seimens decca 55# high impedence injectors, swapping to 6.0L heads, and using some good thick Cometic head gaskets.

Will my little plan work so far?

I also would like to retain the ac and use 2 RH stock manifolds, has anyone ever tried this?

depending on the amount of boost you run, yes the turbo, injectors, cam, fuel pump should be ok...

i dunno about the 2 RH manifolds tho... might as well just buy truck manifolds and turn them around.... if you use 2 RH manifolds, you'll have 1 facing forward, and 1 facing backward... doesn't make sense to me

So your planning to weld up the kit yourself then?

Thanks for the help.
The reason I want to use 2 RH manifolds is to keep the AC. I want the exhaust to dump in the back so I can figure out how to plumb the crossover pipe around the ac compressor, the truck manifold if used on the rh side will be in the way of the air compressor. Or so I've read in the sticky's

My uncle has a mandrel bender in his shop that they build mud dragster frames with, I plan on using it and fitting it and tacking it myself. I'll have my cousin that is a professional fabricator put the final bead on everything to ensure that it actually will hold pressure. I do good just not to burn through what I weld lol!

Well if you have access to the tools and the time, you can defiantly make a kit, don't be afraid to try a few different things if the route your taking isn't working good as you thought on piping.

We had to do sections of our pipes a few times to get everything just right, but its worth it in the end.

Thanks man, I really appreciate the encouragement (I need it!). Honestly I was afraid when I posted this I would get discouraged but the feedback I'm getting me is making me want a turbo even more now.
