Default wiring help 66nova -04 GTO LS1 I have all the donor wires and boxes

Ive been in the process of building this for some time now.

The motor is in and the wires are laid out the way they should be but nothing is matching up. only about 4 wires the other 15 dont have a home

The guy that pulled the whole thing said it was everything from the donor car

In this pic the 2 in the middle go to the fan motors, but what about the rest, especially the one large one with the red locking piece

Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone in the houston area wants to stop by lemme know, especially if you own an 04 GTO.

On the 2000 Z28 I parted out, there were a total of four O2 sensors and two catalytic converters. Each catalytic converter had a before and after O2 sensor.

Maybe the the GTO LS1 has one big catalytic converter. I have a 06 GTO which has the LS2and maybe different than the LS1.

it had 4 originaly but now has only 2.
one on each header.

The question is more about the whole wiring system, the 02 sensor question is just an example.

I really need pics, schematics, diagrams, or first hand knowlege to help me do this because from what i have there are

I think this is to an O2 sensor, but its male and the one on the sensor is male.
also what is the one hanging below?

I have the whole engin wiring harness (see below) and the whole body harness that I
all the plugs coming off the motor dont go with the harness.

I bought a helms manual for the 06 GTO. It is very detailed. I plan on doing the same and buying one for the camaro I parted out. They run $135. It will be worth it due to I plan on using everything I can on converting my el Camino over

04 GTO only has 2 converters. The other 2 are resonators.

So two cats, two resonators, two mufflers, and neither side ever touches the other.

Your joking right?

Please stick to the original question, I was talking about the O2 sensors had 4 original and am now only using the 2 pre cat O2's.

All the wires and PCM BCM gauges are all from the same car even the motor.

I got one that came off the motor to plug into the MAF, 2 fan plugs

another one near the front pasenger side, but thats it.

I feel that buying a whole manual is a waste.
wouldn't a GM Manual be better than a helms?
If so what should I ask for at the parts counter.

I believe Helms are the GM service manuals you would buy.

Check out http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/ for GTO info. Maybe someone has some info on the specific layout or locations.

You might want to try Alldata.com. You should be able to get all the wiring schematics and connector pin diagrams with wire colors, pin locations for every connector your looking for. Print out whatever you need off their sight. Its like $25 for the first car, $15 for rest. Good luck. I found having both the connector diagrams, wiring schematics with discriptions real neccessary.

I second the motion with AllData. I have a 04 LS1 swap i just did and without AllData I would have been screwed.

I GOT ACCESS TO ALLDATA, It's free through my school, what a blessing.

but here is another problem, the O2 sensors that were sent with the motor are missing the double female part that is used to connect the 2 together. now I have the wiring for the PCM side Power wire is PK and ground is BL/WH and so on but the O2 sensors that were sent with the motor. 2 browns a purple and a light brown.

I've called 2 dealerships and they don't know the part I'm talking about.
Its the connector that goes between the O2 sensor and the engine wiring harness. Its double female.

Or does any one know the bosch o2 sensor wiring
If I have to splice them together.

Question

I found the info about the O2 sensors, so I should be able to splice them.

Go to the botom for the chart.
http://www.boschautoparts.com/NR/rdo...sorInstall.pdf

* Since there is no polarity to the heaters, it is only important to match the color of the heater wires.
** Wire color(s) of column (A) in each wire type should match wire color(s) of column (B).

here's the elec diagram
http://uploadingit.com/public/9423/ho2s.gif?no_history

http://uploadingit.com/public/pview/...Sensor%201.gif

I have Type A 4 wire O2 sensor. It supposedly came off the GTO

1 Purple /signal wire
2 Dark Brown /power and ground
1 Light Brown/ ground

Basically how would you connect these?

I know for sure pink is the power wire

does the pink go to one of the dark browns

You are a brave man, doing the wiring harness without the manuals. I have the connectors info for the whole wiring harness from engine to body. I will send it to you when I get home.

I think I have all the info now.
but what about the O2 sensor question.

Do you know the connector part number since 2 dealerships did not.

They only show the male connect coming off the engine harness ant the male connector coming off the O2 sensor.

There is a double female ended connector that plugs these together.
No one know the part.

So now I'm trying to to splice this and and make my own connector.

but the descriptions dont match up between the O2 sensor and 02 sensor plug.
