Few pics of 55 with ls1 swap
Here are some pics of me and my dads 55 chevy
body on our rotisserie we built,
Tubbed out with new floor pans and trunk
New fatman fab's front end with stainless a-arms
01 ls1 out of my 01 ss camaro 20k miles, with new gm 4l85E trans
Rear wheels and tires
4 link with 9" ford i narrowed at work with strange axles and 4.56 gears
With 17's on front
let me know what ya think, now that we got the frame work done its time to start body work and start laying out the wiring

Looks GREAT so far. Nice rear tires. Just the right size for a 55
Can't tell for sure from the picture but it looks like the original transmission mount horns are still on the frame. If so, you might want to consider removing them for additional exhaust routing clearance.

thanks, i think its ganna turn out real nice, were still tryin to decide what mods to do to the engine, were ganna get it running first and drive it around a bit to work the bugs out of it and then were ganna either put a cam and heads setup on it or we have been thinking about a procharger, but thats ganna be quite aways away though hope to have it driving by around october

Is the 4l85e a newer mutation of the 4l80?
If so, would it be possible (ormaybe you already know?) to find out what the dimension is from the motor mount to the trans mount?
Then overall length?
