Default LT1/LS1 SpEEDOMETER QUESTION!

hello all. im really interested in finding out on this quesiton. i bought a ls1 speedometer of of ebay.. because it looks much better. i have a 1995 LT1 formula firebird. ive seen it around, BUT will a LS1 cluster work on a LT1 engine ? is there anything special needed? help me out !! please

The only cluster with the digital odometer that will work is the 97 clusters. It's a direct swap. The LS1 clusters........as far as I know no one has been able to get one to work in an LT1 car.

I had one in each of my 93's with no problems (tach is another story, 93's are special). You should be able to find a good 97 donor cluster after a brief search for a good deal. Also, there's a company in TX that can get a new odometer piece and program it with your correct mileage. Down side is that it's a couple hundred dollars because of the need for the new odometer circuit board.

oh wow. thatd be great. where could i find a 97 cluster.. ive checked ebay and a few f-body stores ? any tips ? and if i finally find one ill have to get the texas info from you !!!!!!

Got my last one for $36 on ebay. Just keep an eye out, they'll pop up once in a while.
