If you want a WOT dyno tune for max power, Mike Norris has always done mine and I've never had any issues. As with any tuner, you'll wanna' go back after driving around a week or so for a little shift point/firmness, idling adjustments and the like. Mike stands behind his work ... like him or not, he's an honest guy.

Now, if you want a scan and street tune while driving to measure knock retard, injector duty cycle, etc., not sure if Mike does that a lot. You'd have to ask him.

Formato did a great job dialing my tune in. I'll definitely be going back to him to get it updated when more things change in the future.

I have recommended several folks who now use Mike and Geoff. They seem to be satisfied with Mike's tuning abilities and willingness to be helpful and work with you until you are satisfied. The same goes for Geoff next-door at the shop (NLP). You'll always hear some negative things about any shop or any tuner, but, you have to look at their overall experience and customer service. Anybody who isn't satisfied with any shop always has the option to go to someone else if they are not 100% satisifed. This being said, I have opportunities where I could have walked away from NLP, however, I've stuck with them through the issues and they have NEVER, let me down or rejected my need for total satisfaction. Good luck talking with Mike ... stop next-door and say hi to Geoff while you're up there and look at some of the cars they work on. Most cars you'll see in the bays are repeat customers who are satisfied.

Thanks for the kind words guys it is always appreciated to say the least.

Jack, how did things turn out at the shop the other day? I did not see you before you left.

You may want to contact Russell (ZoomZ) for his thoughts on VMP also at zoomz@bellsouth.net as he has used them also.

Later all,

Mike Norris

Hi Mike. Geoff scanned the vehicle and wanted me to schedule the car in to take care of a few issues he's found related to the 90/90/90 install he did for me. After he tweaks my scan file and works with the car, I told him I needed to have you do another WOT dynotune for me. You know, when you locked the converter the one time (before my 90/90/90 install) to see what it had in it (with the converter locked), well, the tranny was flashing in the 3rd shift, so, there was some slippage in the clutches. Now, the clutch paks have been replaced when it was sent back to Indiana (FLT). Since you were getting 425 RWHP with the slippage, I think with the 90/90/90 setup and dialing it in ... locked it may possiblY go 460-470 RWHP. I also am thinking of swapping in a TQ'r 230/232 113 +1 cam in place of the current 224/228 114 +1. Tony Mamo said he would port my FAST 90 intake while the cam goes in and ship it right back soas not to hold up my car in the shop. This should put another 20 to the ground and another 5-10 RWTQ. PM me with your thoughts when you have time. Maybe LS1Freak can experience the joy of a WOT tune by Mike Norris.

You may want to contact justin, mike, and find out his thoughts on russ's car.

Two sides to every story. I'm glad i justin tuned my car, and gary put it together. I almost went to NLP, but I am glad i went and got it done by gary. Integrity speaks volumes about some places.

Mike of Norris Motorsports and Geoff of Next Level Performance have both been good to me and done great work on my car. In the past, I've had issues and both were always there to ensure I was taken care of. They've done a lot of work for me. Everybody's going to have their personal opinions from THEIR past experiences, so, do your research and talk to several DIFFERENT tuners and make the decision you are comfortable with. Too many personality conflicts on this board in this particular forum. Anybody says there isn't, just search ... the proof is not hard to find.

Geoff at NLP tuned my 2000SS, VERY happy with results and follow-up after wards to make sure everything was OK! Went from 294 RWHP stock, added ORY,85mm MAf and lid + tune went to 325 RWHP.
