Default O2 Sensors, What kind to get?

I just ordered new pacesetter longtubes, my old longtubes are beat up and leaking, they dont seal good next to the 02 sensor either, when I was getting my car tuned, the diagnostic said that external air was entering where my y pipe meets the collectors and causing the O2 sensor to give a false reading to my computer, which sends extra fuel into the motor.. runs rich.

I'm sure these 02's are old and need replacing anyways... is there any specific kind I have to get for an f-body or do they all work with every vehicle as long as they fit?? What kind should I get?

Genuine GM from the dealer. Too many possible problems with any others, whether true or not, so get the good stuff.

So it doesnt really matter, when screwing them into the collectors do you use any kind of sealant on the threads?

I would use anti-seize on the threads.

Don't get Bosch they suck. Lasted me about 10k miles and then thru a code. Got some Denso's which are much cheaper priced and still good.

i was always thinking i was gonna get a set of bosch corvette rear O2 sensors. after some research, it seems that this product - just like everything else bosch makes - is a piece of crap. the only bosch product i've ever bought that i liked were their windshield wipers i have on my car now. nice wipers. the bosch corvette rear O2's apparently switch very slowly. either get genuine GM oxygen sensors or those denso ones. i hear good things about them. i'd have to say genuine GM for the win, here. if you have headers, just get extentions. that's what i'm doing.

anti seize is a very good idea, I put some on mine just in case I had to remove them again.

i'd rather pay $200 for an item i know will last me a very long time than $100 for an item i have to swap out every month. quality is a much bigger issue for me. this is why i bought stainless headers even though i'm a broke college student. there's no point in doing something if you're not going to do it right, IMO. time is more valuable to me than a couple bucks in this case.
