Default Installed Konis and Strano springs.

Well I installed the new shocks and springs yesterday. Its handles alot better. I still have to get an alignment though that will probably make it a littler better. But It seems like the ride is rougher now. not much it just seems like it takes bumps harder now than it did. Is it like this for everybody? I have the rears set a full soft and the front 3 sweeps from full firm. It couldn't be that I installed something wrong could it? I'm pretty sure I installed everything right. The Strano springs didn't have to be compressed to get them back on...Thats right isn't it? Thanks for the help guys i'm just trying to make sure everything is how its suppose to be...

If you have more than about 32 front, 30 rear in the tires, it's too much. 3 sweeps from full stiff is stiffer than I personally run my shocks, might try backing that down a bit. You did add springs that are stiffer than stock. 292/115 are stock kind of rates, now you have 550/150. Lowering springs aren't what you want for a Cadillac ride, stock springs are best for ride quality. And I'm wondering if the front shocks were on the upper spring perch position. If not they need to be.

I now have the fronts turned 5 sweeps from full firm and it rides so much better. Just putting that out there for future Koni owners. They really are great shocks. I guess the great Strano springs help.

Congrats on the install! I have the same set-up and the ride actually feels smoother now than it did with the Decarbons or Bilstein HD's (on stock springs).

Car looks good. The 18's probably make the ride a little stiffer too compared to 17s
