Default dyno tune with a catback???

my car is pretty much stock besides a catback with cutout, descreened maf, slp lid and 160 degree thermostat. Is it worth getting a tune now or wait till i do more work to the car. Also what is a typical price of a tune. I live in Virginia..

I would wait. Full bolt-ons would be the ideal time to get a tune. It kind of depends how far you're planning to go with the car.

I would wait until you do headers, but if you aren't going to change anything else, go for it. There are plenty of dynos in the Tidewater area and the initial tune will prolly be around $300.

You need to post that question in the regional section that applies to you.

Back on topic. A bone stock car can gain some power. They can add some timing and fuel, that will make some more power.
Also some pleaces have a re-tune for free and you just pay for dyno time.

Peace,
Craig.

It won't benefit you even with headers. My cars AFR was very very close with stock tune and the following: headers open exhuast lid. The maf might be sticking it to you though since you descreened.
