is there a way to find out the specs of a cam without a cam card??
just wanted to know if there is any why to find out the specs of a cam if you dont have a cam card?? I recently bought a cam from a friend of mine for $50 and everytime i have asked him about the specs he says something a lil different. At first he told me it was a 224/228 then he told me it was a 226/226 and now everytime i ask him he tells me it is a 228/229 so i just want to know for sure what it is before i install it...thanks

Getting the info from Comp is good but I would still want to put the cam on a Cam Doctor to find exactly what you have to work with. The actual cams will vary a little bit from the Cam card info, it's just the nature of the process.
The card will probably get you close enough.
