Ticketed for Tire Noise?
Ok so I was leaving Duke's in Bedford and pulled out of the parking lot and went threw a puddle of water and broke the tires loose and fish tailed a little and straightnd out and sure enough there was a cop behind me.
He pulled me over and said Im pulling you over for Tire Noise.
What Tire Noise is that even ticketable? What can i do? Anything? Im kind of at a lose for words why would you ticket for that when you know its a rear wheel drive car going threw water.. not to mention I don't even remember hearing my tires sqeek...

How hard is it to keep your car straight? A puddle shouldnt make the tires break loose. Display of acceleration is one thing but "tire noise"? thats not even a ticket. I guess if you gotta slam on the breaks to keep from getting hit you will get a ticket. Fight that ****. MY Gf's grand prix makes tire noise when she turns the corner. Stupid *** cops.

Get this , my buddy comes to my house last night to BS and gets onth topic of the local LAW ! Seems his son and his friend were walking back from the Chicken Express drinkin some tea . While they waked his friend picked up a stick and was poking at **** with it .They got to the light at the corner to cross and his son took the lid off of his drink to get a mouthful if ice .
The wind was blowing pretty good that day and caught the lid and blew it out of his hand .Setting at the light was one of Haltom City's finest.
He turns his lights on and gets out and , at this time his friend throws the stick back in the grass .
The cop ask my friends son "what did you drop when you saw me " and he says he didn't drop any thing . The cop actually wrote them both a ticket for "Illegal dumping - under five pounds " which must be a damn serious offense because it carries a $178.00 fine .
Thank God for a judge with a little sense because on court day he asked him what happened and after explaining the story to him , His Honor said " but what did you do " He then dismissed both tickets !!!!!!

they can get you for breaking it loose for "exhibition of acceleration," but I've never heard of "tire noise." Maybe he meant for squalling the tires (even though you didn't).
The fact is that there are people who are good at their jobs and there are people who aren't good at their jobs in every profession. It just sucks that the guy who almost flunked the academy gets the same authority as the guy who aced it.
Take your pick:

Cops can give tickets for anything these days. On one of the Galveston cruises we all got tickets for BS. One passenger even got a ticket for "Clinging" (Holding a comera out the window).
I talked to a HPD Sargent and she told me she had no clue what "clinging" was, and was sure it was made up. lol
