10mph over ticket, pay or lawyer?
Traffic cop (red tags on shoulders) stopped me today for doing 45 in a 35. While it's only $190, would it be worth getting a lawyer? Can a lawyer even do anything worthwhile? I'm most likely just going to pay it since I already used up my defensive driving (just got done the other day for a previous ticket.) This just isn't my year.

your right but he is older than me so he should be good to go. i would check into the deferred disposition and just see how much that costs versus trying to get a lawyer involved, of course it all depends on what you are willing to spend and to see if you can be good for the proceeding 6 months on deferred.

When I went to turn in my defensive driving stuff to the court yesterday, I asked them if I was eligible for deferred adjudication for the ticket I just got. They said I could, so that's another option. I'm still going to talk to an attorney and see what they say.
If I recall correctly, when you opt for deferred adjudication, you pay the full amount of the ticket and you're placed on probation for six months. If no tickets, it's wiped from your record. With the way things have been going for me lately, I don't know if I can keep from getting a ticket within that time frame.

Which lawyers are you guys referring to that that will fix it for 75 dollars?!
PM's welcome!
i called David Sprecher and he charges 200 dollars....of course my ticket was for 25 over, and the ticket itself is 300.
i'd love to have a lawyer fix it for 75....
