Up until recently, the number of fbodies in my area (Aiken, SC) has been slim an none...less than 5. Slowly over time me and two other friends have gotten a lot of new fbody owners to the area. They always seem to come back to us three to ask what they should do to their cars. Out of everyone in the area I have had the move experience with fbodies and know the most about them....100% because of ls1tech. Anyways, we have a running joke between my three friends that if the modification isnt the stereotypical ls1tech mod or not ls1tech approved, then it doesnt go on the cars we know! Kinda like the berger panel. It seems nearly everyone on ls1tech drools over a berger panel! Therefore, its ls1tech approved! That might sound kinda dumb but it has turned out to yeild some very nice looking cars.

I have a new camaro to start over with so Im scratching my black camaro body. I would like to attempt one of those cars they everyone knows! Im not sure if this is the same with others on the board but everyone that I know instantly knows some cars. Nineballs HOSS is the main one that always comes up in conversation.

Anyways, we were talking about what the majority of ls1tech members would do with a red SS Camaro. I figured I would post up and see what most of you guys would do with a Red SS as far as exterior appearance goes! I want a subtle clean looking car now! Berger panel? chrome inserts? grille? clear corners? smoked corners? any graphics? what would you do with the car?

I only like the berger with an SS/3piece spoiler and is the reason why I have yet to do the "mod". I used to want halos and clear corners, but now I am rethinking it and might just do the whistler mod and call it a day. If you want clean, drop the side molding and SS decals, get some chrome on the wheels and give her a good wax.

I looked through the fbody appearance mega thread but it doesnt have as many different red ones as i would have expected

Thats funny... All I did was the manta stripe, Black wheels, red calipers, black corners, black Billet grill, and Whistler mod and it changed the appearance drastically. Interior has white gauges, silver Hvac *****, silver Cig lighter, and white 1-6 shift ****. Now Im working on the engine. I am actually one of the few whos more into Detail then performance

the slp grille and the berger panel seem to be a hit with a red car! Lowering is a definate. Other than that just a nice set of wheels, window tint and maybe different corner lights seem to make a nice clean red car

You guys might say I am crazy or retarded, but I think a red SS, debadged w/a berger panel, clear corners, and dark tinted windows would look clean as hell. No manta though, seems like almost everyone with an SS has that.

damn i need to take pics of mine....i have a red 99 SS camaro and i have repainted the hood grill gloss black, have black SS(outlined in red) decals for the chrome center caps on my ZR1's, i also have red calipers and "Camaro SS" decals in white on the fronts....i also have somthin that noone else has...i have painted the original "CAMARO" letters in the grill red....it looks pretty good... I NEED TO TAKE PICS!!!!

I hated red cars until I found one with half the miles and for $2K less than the NBM and black f-bodies I was looking at. It has grown on me since.

This was my latest incarnation. It's going to get changed a bit now though. I'm thinking red SS grill with white stripe(s).

Cobra2WS6's car is my favorite!, but i would love to see a red SS Camaro with black racing stripes, I have never seen that before! (exactly the way my stripes are done) now that is definitly what i would do
