Thumbs up LSX pics and info. must read if your doing lsx.

i have some pics and ifo for people to help save some time and agrivation.

first off everything is all set on my setup. the machine shop did a great job.

issues i found tho.

1. i was missing one pipe plug for the rear (had one at my house)

2.the bolts they sent me for the lifter retainers where to short.(went to home depot and got ones 1/4" longer and done)

3. the cam plate gasket was pain in the *****!!!!

4. the suplied bolts for the cam plate stuck out to far, and hit my timming chain. (4 of them required fileing them down to clear, easy fix but needs to be adressed)

other then that, so far so good. my damn timming chain was loose as could be so i overnighted a new double roller so i will have the motor done tonight, and probably set in the car.
tommorow i will get the tranny in and exhaust made and saturday i should be able to fire it up

I have a question...if you're only hitting it with a 250 shot then why go with the lsx block?

Good input! Take your time. It's the little things like bolt length and clearances that make a good motor.
