got my blown car to run cool... finally!
well i finally got rid of the 230+ ect.... i put a EWP in and wired both, the single ATI 16'' fan to a toggle switch but wired them to seperate relays....
idling the car has a hard time trying to get above 185F.... i took it out for some short blasts and the car only got up to 190*F... now this is when its 92*F outside also.... im not sure what the problem was with the fan but i had the temps set to 155 to come on.... i guess they never came on that early... it also seems that since the fans are wired directly to the batter (the accesory off the battery) they suck much harder.... I'm happy and this weekend ill drive it a little more on the street

I finally got my TT car to cool down too, spal 2600 cfm fans and a ron davis radiator have been in there but we had a bad thermostat, we also wrapped the downpipes and the car idles 222-224deg (hot day) and runs down the street at 160-175 (night/day)
edit : we also removed the thermostat completely

i've actually got a 180 stat and stock radiator.... i drilled 2 3/16'' holes on each side of the stat though to make sure a little water is always flowing.... but hell i still may move the radiator straight up and down just to get some more working/manuvering room in there.... im a happy guy right now

I am getting to that point with my Shop car. I am ditching the PS, ABS, and PB. I dont see any point in keeping them. The car is going to see very limited time on the street. I am thinking about dropping the coin on a EWP when I swap in the Burkhart front end and motor plate.

Glad you figured it out.
Its kinda funny because the EWP was the reason MY car ran hot. I had it rebuilt and sold it, I like the idea of it but my car is 99% street car and I was concerned about reliability.
I let me car cool long enough between runs that it doesn't matter, I like to let the tranny and everything cool anyway.

On the street the stock water pump was better on highway cruises for me though, but idling around and low speed the EWP works pretty well. EWP is moving a lot of water at low speed.

i pounded the hell out my car tonight on a 20 mile cruise for a "street class race" with out any intercooler.... the car got as hot as 210* but then immediately dropped to 205ish... im talking several WOT runs for a good 3-4 seconds while hitting the gears hard.... i was a very happy man tonight...
i was able to run a 7.21 with no intercooler at 103mph on real true radials... like some tires you can buy at sears... i cut a 1.64 60' on them i'll get after it a little harder next time....
at the end of these runs my ECT was about 195ish....
now my problem is my accesory belt still wanting to hop off 1-2 ribs... it only runs the alternator also....
