Default Cutout before catalytic converter

i have an 1999 ls1 camaro and the exhaust is pretty bad i was wondering if i should get a cutout before the cat under the passenger seat? It allready has the simulators for the back o2 censors ready to be hooked up. Would i loose too much back pressure and actually loose power or should i just buy a new exhaust kit and eliminate the second cat?

im not exactly sure why you would do that....have major restriction on one side of the car and none on the other....just get an aftermarket exhaust

i dont know if you would loose power or not or if it would be enough back pressure. i am thinking it would be fine. i know it can be done and has been done lots of times as long as u have the o2 sims or tune it out, otherwise the light will come on

Only one cutout makes no sense if your doing it prior to the I-pipe (in the y-pipe). Just have it welded into the I-pipe and if you have 02 sims gut your stock cats too.

O sorry guys for the confusion i thaught the exhaust was different i looked at it wrong. How much will gutted cats give me like 5-10 horsepower? And will the cut out give me more horsepower than a flowmaster muffler?

yes. flowmaster would be the worst thing you could do.
