Default Egr Removal?

I am wanting to take out my egr valve to give the engine bay a cleaner look and was just wondering if you guys have had any problems other then it setting a ses code.

I never got an SES code and I tool the whole system out.

Ramair346 how did you take off your egr if you never had it? 01-02 do not have egr......

I took out my EGR and AIR at the same time, and still have an SES light 6 months later. No power loss however. Going to have the codes taken care of in june when my car goes under the knife and gets dyno tuned.

Did you use a freeze plug for the intake and what size was it or did you fab up your own blockoff plate

You can use a 1 1/4 to 1 3/8 freeze plug. Works like a charm.

You can use a 35mm Freeze plug. Fits perfect.
