Are you sure you have the lid installed properly? What kind of lid is it?

Uhh, a lid is a lid. The SLP lid isn't "cheap" ... it's the same as every other aftermarket lid out there.

Do you have a smooth bellows?

I would try a performance shop for LS1s of course.
Sometimes they have alot of stuff laying around. If its a small part like that they wont even charge you.

Simple Lid fitment issue. Sometimes you need to be a tad bit aggressive with it. Most MTI / SLP / WS6 Store / Etc. lids fit like ****.

Most of the time it's the lid not installed properly, even I thought it was installed right until I saw a mention that the lid front lip has to be BEHIND and INSIDE the tray. If you have it on like the stock lid it will keep popping off, and worse yet will rub on the hood.

Yup. I was doing that at first, and couldn't figure out why the clips kept popping off until I found a thread here that described it.

I just installed my SLP lid yesterday, had to give it some force, but it fits way better than the offbrand unmarked one the previous owner had on it. Both clamps stay on, and its on there very tight.
