BMR strut tower brace? (warning LS1 IROC-Z swap)
Is BMR the only company that makes a strut tower brace for a third gen? Spohn, and UMI don't make one. I can't seem to find any other companies and I don't like the way the middle of the STB made by BMR looks weak because of the flattened emblem in the middle. Any suggestions? I want to put an LS1 in my IROC and I want the body to be very solid. Any suggestions?

I don't know from third-gens but on the 4th the brace has to
be considered more of a snubber for cowl shake, than a real
structural piece. Just about anything will do, so buy the color
you like.

I built my own 3 point brace many years ago. Can get pics if needed. Edelbrock makes a very nice 3 pt. and Hotchkis has a 2 pt. I would go with the Edelbrock as it triangulates the front towers with the cowl.

Basically any Strut Tower Brace will do. I suggest Hotchkis also Edelbrock (sp) sells very nice ones.
I like Hotchkis
Find both here...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's still a bunch out there if you look, but I'd recommend the hotchkis too because it looks way better than anything else out there. Make sure you get a steering brace too if you don't already have one.

Hotchkis makes one.. Jamex used to make one.. Edelbrock makes one.. BMR...
the steering brace, is also called a "Wonder Bar".. it came on 86-89 IROC's as stock.. its a also called a steering brace.. its sits under the sway bar and attached from the steering box to the other side of the frame.
you need to go to www.thirdgen.org and search for "wonder bar" and "strut tower brace"
