Identify this Lid, Any Ideas?
I was just wondering what kind of Lid this is? Anyone know? Also, this is probaly a stupid question, but what is the long hose that comes down the drivers side of the engine bay, and wind down and around right next to my radiator. It has some type of Air Filter on the end of the hose. What is this, and what is it used for? Another thing, what is the wire that is zip tied up in the second picture. It runs toward the bottom of the engine, and where u see it zip tied up at, it has a regular 3 prong electrical plugg in. Just like you would plugg it into a socket in your house. You can see it in the second pic. Just trying to learn as much as possible. I really do appreciate all the help.

sure looks like an MTI lid.
That hose is an emissions component called the A.I.R. system. that filter is where the pump takes in fresh air.
I wonder what the heck is the zip tied bundle of wires in the 2nd pic above the fuse box though..

hmm... that got to be a block heater which is used to preheat the engine in subzero temps. never seen one on an f-body though but since it has a household outlet plug on it I don't know what else it could be.

I'd push that AIR hose down along the side of the radiator and zip tie it to the little metal "eyelet" on the radiator - looks like it could get in the way of moving parts. Just don't kink the hose restricting air flow, it'll throw an SES light.
