Default Car won't shift "I can't tune it to shift"

Hey guys I just bought my car and it shifts fine when regular driving conditions. At wot I have yet to see the car shift until I let out. The car has a msd box with a 7000 rpm rev pill in it the guy I bought the car from told me that it will shift at 6800 but I dont want to turn this car that high. I have jet dst software and I went to go change the shift points a little and I didn't seem to make a difference so I decided to drastically change them just so I could see them change. I changed the 2>3 from 69 mph to 55 mph and It still didn't shift. The transmission in the car has been built and beefed up some but is there any reason why I can't change the shift points with my sofware. What do ya'll think is wrong?

Thanks

x2 - WOT shifting is dependent upon MPH AND RPM. You need to change both to get it to shift where you want it to.

What gears did the car have originally? Have you corrected the speedometer for the 3.73s with the Jet DST? Once that is corrected, you need to scale all the shift tables (part throttle, WOT, and converter lock up) by a correction factor (old gear/new gear). The LT1 software won't do that automatically. That should get the transmission shifting at the stock shift points. Once you get it doing that, then start bumping up the WOT MPH shift points a few MPH at a time until you get it shifting where you want it.
What is the rev limiter set at in the PCM? I don't understand using the MSD rev limiter since the PCM has that built in.

Thanks a lot. Do I use the calculator on Jet to know how to scale? The PCM rev limiter is set at 6350 but it doesn't kick in I thought that the MSD might be over riding it. I was just guessing though. Again thanks.
