Default Power Steering Pulley INSTALL

I'm having a problem trying to figure out how to install the pulley on the snout of the power steering pump. I got the old one off using a puller from Auto Zone, and this tool is supposed to double as an installer as well. When I go to put it on, though, I can't keep the shaft from rotating while trying to pull the pulley on.

What am I doing wrong? I can't figure this out for the life of me...

You have to remove that stud that goes in the middle of the puller that you used to remove the pully and put the stud that screws into the hole on the pump. I hope you understand.............

Yea, then hold that bolt while you tighten up the nut that pushes on the pulley.

It can be a real pain but once you figure it out it'll go on quick.

Yeah...it took me a while to figure it out, but basically, I wasn't getting the bolt tightened all the way before trying to draw the pulley on. Once I did that, it went on without much of a fight. I'm just hoping it is lined up okay now since this isn't a stock pulley.

I had my hopes up on getting a Synister pulley, but they aren't answering their phones these days, so they are being kinda shady. I just ended up going with a Turn One billet aluminum pulley...it works, and actually looks pretty decent (I didn't think I'd like it). Plus, it is their pump it is sitting on, so I guess that is always nice If I would have known about the Synister being that hard to obtain, I would have just ordered my Turn One pump with their pulley already installed and not even dealt with this problem.

I did not, but this new pulley wasn't very heavy...if I had to guess, it weighs a little more, but I'm just not sure. I only did this particular pulley for the ability to reach the power steering pump bolts directly through the pulley instead of having to pull it off just to get to those two bolts.
