Spending $3000 on my Stock 2000 WS6
Okay i just recently purchased this 2000 WS6. It has 145,000 miles but runs great. It is a 6-speed. Pewter with Tan interior. All stock down to the air filter and exhaust. I have around 3000 to spend on the car. I am about to pick up from work Long Tubes (pacesetter) offroad Y and they have a SLP LM Catback for sale also. I want my car to be as loud and sounds as good as possible while still being able to have a decent sound. When i ran the car bone stock it ran a 13.3 bone stock. I would like to reach 12's. I will have about 2000 left after the exhaust. I was thinking about maybe a lid, wires, plugs, and maybe some suspension? Please help me out

id say go with a magnaflow, its not loud really but its got a really nice sound to it compared to the LM IMO...
port your TB
LS6 manifold
ls7 clutch (your stocker at 145k and dumping it wont hold much longer)
tune
small NX setup maybe...
full bolt ons will you in the high 12s AT LEAST....

if you are power hungry....start with clutch and rearend...that way you have that outta the way...i wish that would have been the way i went...now im sittin here with a broken rearend with no extra money for a little bit...im not too worried about it though...car is in GA and i had a DD before it happened...

I would say spend the rest on tune up "mods" after that many miles i'm sure ALOT is wore out. Anything left over toss into the suspension, I've seen countless times where people say they should have done suspension first.

I would say replace the HORRIBLE shocks immediately!! Before you worry about going any faster - get the suspension mods to keep you ON the road.
I *hate* the way the stock suspension feels at anything over 80kms

+Brake fluid and clutch if nessesary

+everythong checks? cool lets begin!
+powerbond UD pulley

Well here is my list for the mechanic so far...
Install:
Pacesetter Long Tubes, Pacesetter ORY, SLP Catback (LM),
285/40/17 tires in back, 245 in front
New Passenger side window motor and regulator,
platinum spark plugs with MSD wires
Hawk rear pads (fronts are new)
Alignment
And recharge-recycle the ac system. Should keep it under 2000 for now.
I will hold onto 1000 for this winter or for unexpected breaks (clutch, rear end, engine). I do make decent money so if worst case scenerio my motor blows i will have the money to buy a new short block. I just wont be able to drive it until spring which is fine.
