Default fuel problem

ok so here is my problem. car will start up and run fine until it warms up and then it cuts out. and when you go to start the car again the fuel pump does not prim. wait 10-15 minutes and the car starts right back up and drives fine for a little bit and then it will happen all over again.

now i looked up the wiring diagram and it goes something like pcm, fuse, relay, pump....

and i also have a hotwire kit on the pump.

now my dumb self replaced the pump and hotwire relay thinking that everything else was fine.

so now i am down to just testing the pcm i guess

has there been problems with pcms? and also if it happens to be the pcm how would i go about getting a 02 pcm and run the 02 opperating system while still being about to you my vin for efilive?

How did you fix it? Did you replace the terminals? Give me some details I'm having a very similar problem.

mine i used the racetronix pnp kit and DIDN"T wire it in with their wiring and practically melted my back block where all that electrical stuff plugs into...it was all black and such... then replaced with racetronix wiring and works fine. all i can say is check gauge of wire, check fuses and make sure its ok wiring wise

I've been through my wiring and no blown fuses or cut wires ect. I've been using the hotwire kit from the start and everything.

I haven't messed with any wiring either, just swapped in a Holley fuel pump cause I was in desperate need to get the car back. I should probably get around to doing the hot wire kit.

there was a burnt wire and melted the cavity of the terminal and so when it got hot the resistance was such that it shut off the fuel pump. so i replaced the inch of burnt wire and the terminal.

Thanks for the update. I'm going to have to check mine out tomorrow because when the stock pump went the fuse completely melted and melted a part of the block around the terminals.

On another note I think my pump may be on it's way as well
