headlight motor?

Default headlight motor?

hey i'm pretty sure i'm in the wrong section but i don't know where this would go so here it is.... when i close my headlights after they close i here a loud groan sound from the passanger side one, is that a motor going bad or what? i actually can't close my lights because of it not stopping the sound... help please if you know and if it's in wrong section switch it and let me know where it went... thanks!!

just fixed my buddies...have you tried the 180 fix???

Yeah thats what it is. You can do a search on it and there's a coupla different ways to fix it. The 180 as mentioned befrore works or just get a new gear for it from ebay and rebuid it. You might as well do the drivers side too cause that one prolly on it's way out too.

It's when you take the motor apart and just take the plastic gear and flip it around and put it back in.

what does it just like use the unused side of the gear? is it easy with these damn things or what? i havn't even bothered to look at it soo i don't know

that happened to me i just bought a new motor. my car has 87k miles on it so i was like hell it lasted this long the easier route is buying a new motor. of course it set me back 150 bucks

yeah i don't feel like spending 150 just yet on non performance parts lol... hell whats the worst that's gonna happen? it's just gonna burn itself out and i'll have only my HID fogs untell i buy a new headlight motor

take the headlight motor apart and flip the gear around(it's plastic and one side is stripped)...make sure you glue the cover to the motor VERY well or it will fall off....

ok sounds good, it stops after about 5 seconds of being closed so it works for now untell friday my day off
