LG Motorsports: Allngn_c5 going back to Milan Dragway for 11's
Well fellas, I was pretty excited to go to Milan Dragway back in June. The weather was decent, the track was decent and I did terrible. Hitting the rev limiter, short shifting, and couldn't hook for **** (12.3 @ 121.6 mph 2.26 60')on new Michelin PS2's. I didn't do a very good job representing the excellent work (490 rwhp 445 rwtq 346 ci) that was performed on my car by LG Motorsports. Hopefully this time it won't be so busy and I can get more runs then 3 passes in 6 hours.
The only changes are going to be a little more experience behind the wheel with the new setup and a pair of Nitto 555r Drag Extremes 305 35r18 out back. They should help me get out of the hole a lot better. 2.33 and 2.26 60ft times are not too impressive. I hope to see 1.7's or low 1.8's with the NITTO's.
Any comments and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Shooting for 11.7 ET or better. Help get me there. I plan on coming out of the hole at 4000 rpms. Should **** and git without bogging.
Thanks in advance.

Your 3.73's would help me quite a bit. Since my car was going to be 99.9% street and most of that on the Expressway I kept the 3.42's. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Rained out, TNT cancelled
I couldn't hardly wait to get out of work yesterday because I knew I was headed to the track. Everything looked fine. Now this is where Murphy's law comes in to play. As soon as I start the car up (still in the garage) it begins to sprinkle. I call Milan and they say call back in 20 minutes. I call back and they say it is sprinkling and TNT was cancelled. Just my luck. Car is ready, I was ready, and the weather just wouldn't cooperate. Maybe next week. Stay tuned...........................

I'm going to guess...
12.doh @ 121mph
You'll probably cut a 2.0 60'. That's 2 tenths better than previously and that
equates to roughly .35 on the big end. 12.30s minus .3 = 12.0s.
Good luck Doug! I hope I'm wrong.

You are really busting my ***** UNIT !!!
I drove the car on the street and had 30 psi in them. The Nitto Drag Extremes wouldn't spin in first gear from a roll. They were causing me to bog down coming out of the hole at 3000 rpms. So I plan on airing down to 22psi at the track and doing a good 5 sec burnout then launching close to 4000 rpms. I should do better then 2.0 60' times. How about some confidence inspiring comments.

It sounds like you have a strong running car. You shouldn’t have any problem breaking into the 11’s with some traction.
You might want to be a little less “gung ho” off the line. I’d try launching at a lower rpm at first until you get a good feel for the car. I think you’ll find even if the car bogs you will still get a better sixty foot than if you blow the tires off of it. I was able to run 11.80’s @124 with 1.92-1.93 sixty foots on the Goodyear runflats with about 440rwhp. I would just launch from an idle let it bog a little and roll into the throttle. You’re not going to set any records that way, but it’s a good place to start. Once you get a feel for the car increase your launch rpms until you reach the optimum point between bog and spin.
Good luck. Hope the weather cooperates with you next time.

Thanks for the positive comments.
I have been practicing a bit on some nice new asphalt. If I try to launch at 3000 she bogs, when I tried again at around 4000 she spun a little then hooked. I hope 4000 is the magic number at the track.

Going home in an hour or so and will take off the DR's until 8/29. Milan doesn't have another Test and Tune until 8/29/07. Oh well I have waited this long.

Well Bobby, you certainly have a very high trap speed for me to reach. I believe I can do the 11.7 without too much issue. The 127.9 is going to be tricky (impossible)
We'll have to wait until 8/29 for the next test and tune.
