Did you see the Stickies? Patrick G -- 508rwhp

Read the stickies ..

Also, you might get around 525 but definetly not 600 -- not without a power adder

Good luck though

There are ways.. but it is not cheap, and might not be streetable.

550+ to the ground... You're going to need more cubes or a power adder. No way around it really unless you want a totally unstreetable race car. But the money it would take to make an N/A 346 to make that power would easily get you into a stroker setup.

Instead of power numbers, maybe think in what you want to run et wise at the track if that is your goal...

You can make 550-600 rwhp with stock cubes but it's going to require a completely different setup than most people on the board run. First, you'll need to turn LOTS of rpm so be prepared to build an 8000+ rpm short block. Next, heads. Any of the premium aftermarket heads will do. Compression: Think 12.0:1 minimum. Intake manifold: Sheet metal intake with cross section and runner length tuned for your high rpm level. Cam. Solid roller: Fairly big.

Basically, you take a setup like Joe Huneycutt from SixSpeeds Inc runs, but only with fewer cubes. If he can make over 700 rwhp with 400 cubes, 600 with 346 is going to be achievable...but not cheap.

lol, it's kinda funny when people just throw out a number.

Have you ever driven a 550 rwhp N/A street car? Because if not, I don't think you really know what it is that you're asking.

actually i have been in a car that puts 550 to the ground and it was a RUSH. if the car will not be streetable, and is going to cost an arm and a leg, then maybe i should go another route.

ok so what would you recomend if i was looking for a streetable car, with great power. i would like a set up with a consistant powerband. something that will **** and get. and if possible mid-high 10's.

If you want mid 11's man, you don't need 550rwhp!

are you M6 or A4?

ok but was it a street car

My point was N/A + 550whp + streetable + stock cubes is an extremely tall order. If that's even possible (would require a healthy roller cam which won't have good street manners) it will cost a lot and you better know what you are doing.

If streetable is your primary consideration an FI setup would probably better suit you. A blown or turboed 550rwhp will be a LOT more streetable than N/A.

408 ci
with l92 with port work or ls7 heads
cam in the 248/250 ish druation with around .6** lift
ported l76 or sheetmetal intake
and the associated mods to make it handle well.
will be streetable and put you in your range
you can dig into a longblock with that kind of setup for a good price,
