Default Can I use a 4wd 4l80e

I can get my hands on a 4l80E with 30,000 miles on it dirt cheap out of a Silverado, problem is the truck has 4WD.

What has to be done to use this tranny in a F-body.

you would need to change the output shaft and tailshaft to a 2wd.

You will also have to add a reluctor to the rear carrier in the transmission when it is apart because the 4x4 unit uses a sensor on the transfer case and doesn't have one in the trans for the output sensor !!!!

If you dont want it, dont let it go to waste, I'm in NH and for the right price I'll take the 4L80E if you dont.
