Grinding sound from front engine.

Grinding sound from front engine. Well at first I thought the sound may be the timing chain but now I have found out that cant be the it. So any ideas as what could make a metal grinding sound on the front of the engine. It seems to be coming from the passanger side. I had all of the pulleys replaced a few months ago. Anyone else ever had this noise. thanks for any help

The sound is comming from the front passanger side of the engine. Can the water pump make noise if it is going bad? I can not drive my car on the road (still fighting a title mess up with dmv) It makes the sound at idle. The faster you rev the faster the sound.
