Default Grinding sound from front engine.

Well at first I thought the sound may be the timing chain but now I have found out that cant be the it. So any ideas as what could make a metal grinding sound on the front of the engine. It seems to be coming from the passanger side. I had all of the pulleys replaced a few months ago. Anyone else ever had this noise. thanks for any help

might be bearing in the a/c compressor clutch or an idler/tensioner

The sound is comming from the front passanger side of the engine. Can the water pump make noise if it is going bad? I can not drive my car on the road (still fighting a title mess up with dmv) It makes the sound at idle. The faster you rev the faster the sound.
