Yea, but I would look elsewhere in your motor to modify, like the heads. That is if you all ready have the cam in, if you don't then you could look at something like what I have in my sig. Great cam, awesome power and drives excellent.

haha i posted on your other comment on another link, that u should get a bigger cam then the 224. I have like, exactly the same setup as you, cept i run a LM1, and my stuffs not polished and my stall is 3600. Im goin with the 233/239 and it should be in by next weekend. If you wanto wait i can tell you how it goes, i figure u can get a 114 lsa to smooth out the idle, and if u want just advance the cam 2 degrees to lower the power band if thats whats for you. im doin 112lsa and installing it at 0. It should haul ***.

the 224 is verey nice option if drivebilty is what you lookin for, i had that cam before and to be honest i regret swaping to bigger choise. the 233-239 will produce more power but only at the peak of your rpm wich is where you will shift gears? the only thing i got from swaping to bigger option is dyno number but on the street the small duration cams rules, the TR224 has a verey strong power band on the low end and mid high.
if you want somthin simillar to the TR224 but slight bigger and daily driver cam,i suggest the 228R from TSP. but remember the more bigger the late power band you get,on the streets you need to be fast to get to the power band quickly, not to chase somebody on the middle of the race, its irretating trust me .

good luck

I would go with some heads. Get a set of ls6 heads ported and milled or 5.3l ported and milled.

I've seen a few go with the 5.3l heads ported and milled and make 400+ rwhp on a auto. TSP only charges $75 to mill them. It would be worth it. It'll bring more compression which means more hp.

You probably realize this, but I will mention it anyway. Tuning is going to have a huge effect on drivability. I have a 226/230 111lsa + 2 and drivability is not great w/ my mail order tune.

Hopefully that will be addressed shortly, though.

if you goin to do heads, stick with small runners like 205c and closed chamber like 62cc or 59cc .

if you go big runner like 225 you will have your power band at the peak as mentioned. so installing a good head combo matching your cam will pump up HP like crazy specialy power under the curve thats everyone is lookin for.

Its gonna be a kick *** ride
