Default Best ET cam with LS6 valve springs?

I've got a set of 2002 LS6 valve springs I'd like to use, which would be with an otherwise stock 98 LS1. Any suggestions for the ultimate cam with these springs? Any idea on max lift? I'm thinking either 216/220 .525 114ls, or perhaps a 2002 LS6.

Terry you should become the champion of all those guys that like the 2002 LS6 cam.

You could be the Fastest "LS6 cam-only" in the country!!

George Benson had the 02 Ls6 springs go flat on him with the ASA.
He was also running the 02 lightweight valves too.

I would run a Ti retainer with them Terry and I wouldnt run a fast ramp.

How about the 218-224 527-534 114.
Its a good cam

Right now I'm going after cheap, I can't afford those big dollar Ti parts. I'll go hunt around MMS and see what I can find in their trash bin.

The problem is those springs dont like the heavier valves and rpm.If u can find a set of used Ti retainers that fit the (Comp 918)they will work,Terry.

That'll help a whole bunch as far as float if u decide to run alittle more advanced ramp.

I don't mean to do any thread hijacking, but do any of you guys know what's the highest lift that LS6 springs can (reliably) handle? I have them with my hotcam, but if I decide to go with a bigger cam in the future, or get a set of 1.8 RRs, could I still use them? Or should I upgrade the springs too?

TIA

I've HEARD 570 lift with 02 valves and Ti retainers.

I wouldnt run them over 550 lift with the older valves or without Ti retainers.

What lift are the LS6 springs good too? Are stock pushrods fine also for these cams?

That 216/220 comp is a great cam and it makes great power with stock heads

02 LS6 springs are rated for
install 1.800" / 90 lbs
max lift 0.600" / 300 lbs

but I wouldn't run anything over 550 lift with them, cuz i know they're not as strong as 918's
