Default building a workshop/Garage (56K take a go eat lunch)

I’m building a Garage/Workshop at my house and I thought I would post up some photos of the progress
It is going to be 30’ X50’ X 12’ tall end walls with 2 10’ X 10’ and 2 8’X 8’ doors
I have a 2 post lift waiting to be installed and it will have a large air compressor along with a welder
Should be complete in the next few weeks

stripping the grass

Digging and pouring the footings

My 2 helpers

setting the forms for the concrete wall

How much is it going to cost you? I just got a quote for a 30 x 40 shop. They wanted 20k, start to finish!

out of curosity, how much did this project cost you? i work for a contracting company that does pre-engineerd metal buildings and i am just wondering how we would compare on pricing. since i am guessing you did all the labor on your own, what was the material price?

the actual steel building cost around 12000 insulated

I should have right around 18000 to 20000 when I am done

I never got a quote on getting it installed

I was told between $1.50 to $4.00 per SQFT which is a BIG swing
