Default Magnaflow or Loudmouth 2 cat back???

Hello all, I'm looking to put a cat back system on. I have a lid some free mods, plan on doing ls6 intake and thats about it. Here's the thing, out where I live they harass you for loud exhaust so most systems are out of question. I don't wanna spend a ton so based on that, what do you all think a Magnaflow or the Loudmouth 2 setup? The factory exhaust is making me sleepy!! Thanks!!

Magnaflow is considered one of the best bang for the buck deals on exhaust. Stainless steel and a mellow sound cruising, but when you get on it the exhaust note is great. I don't have experience with the LM 2, but I'm sure someone else will chime in about it.

Quick Edit: Go to http://www.ls1sounds.com/ to hear different catbacks.

LM2 if you want to keep stock manifolds and cats, Magnaflow if you want to go LT headers in the future.

I have the LM2 on stock headers and cats and I certainly wouldn't it really loud. I personally am not completely happy with it because with the windows up it tends to resonate in the cabin at around 3K rpm. It bugs me but it may not bother someone else. The Magnaflow will be quieter than the LM2.
www.ls1sounds.com can help you a little but it doesn't replace hearing it in person.
Good luck

I have the LM2 on stock manis and cats, and I love the sound. People are always telling me it sounds badass. It is loud enough to make you happy, but not obnoxious. It does drone a little bit around 3K, but I don't think that it's all that bad. The LM2 system will also allow you to swap out the muffler for a different one, so you can change it later pretty easily. I think the Magnaflow is just too quiet with the stock manis and cats.

Magnaflow will be quieter, which is great if you don't want a lot of attention. The LMII is pretty loud...and awesome if you want attention. It will drone some, but it also is noise pollution legal in most states. It is also a good choice if you want to add headers later. The LMI is about as loud as it gets...and really does not sound good with headers.

Whatever you get, check out our price at the link below. We carry a large inventory of exhausts, and have pretty much the best prices out there on both SLP and Magnaflow.

New Era has it for $390ish. Either way Maryland Speed matches prices.

I have the LM2 and I thought it was pretty tame with stock mani's. I now have LT's and catted y and I think it sounds good. Not too obnoxious. And if you keep out of the gas you can keep it quiet. And I dont have any drone on the highway. M6

hell yeah, i would go with the magnaflow. i would also put an electric cutout in the I pipe so you can have it as loud (or quiet) as you want whenever you want.

Stock manis and cats? I'd go Loudmouth I. Of the two you listed, Loudmouth II.

I have a magnaflow on my z28 and I think it sounds great. Its not to quiet, you can hear the exhaust note in the car pretty well. It would be a great exhaust for your area and much better than stock.
